At Myrddin Emrys College, it’s not just our cast of students that changes every year. As seniors venture onward and fresh-faced juniors gather at the gates, something else stirs—hidden from plain sight.
The magic of our school extends far beyond our days on campus, thanks to a dedicated team of witchards working their charms all year round. They craft potent tomes, weave intricate backstories, crunch mundane numbers, and make sure every dot finds its rightful place on an i.
Many of these witchards have faces you’ll recognize, but every year we toss some fresh meat into the cauldron. Luckily, it makes for a great soup.
Controversial opinion: the best soup is never the same twice. Change is good for the soul—and for the College. With each new team member comes fresh ideas and a dose of boundless energy. The best thing about it? It creates opportunities for our community to interact in new ways with a world they dearly love: by joining in behind the scenes!
Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at who will be our ride-or-dies for 2025—and who will be to blame for all that horrible bleed next summer.

The chaos and order of Down Under
On campus, somewhere below sea level, we have a locked-up bunch of the foulest creatures and sweetest mundanes: the NPC bunker. Your grandma is in there too. Maybe even Fidon’s ghost. (Too soon?)
This year, the bunker is bursting at the seams - breaking the record on the amount of NPC’s we have - , with none other than NPC Lead Kaz taming these creatures and whipping them into shape, aided by NPC Co-Lead Emily. Together they piece out who will be just perfect for that plot you requested.
"MEC wouldn't be MEC without letting loose a wild menagerie of NPCs on our unsuspecting players, and I have the questionable honour of doing just that." - NPC Lead, Kaz
The ones with the keys to the hell gate are none other than Bunker Lead Finn and Bunker Co-Lead Naomi, alongside Trien and Bo, who make sure that long-lost brother of yours is exactly where you expect to meet him. And that he’s wearing pants.
"Our bunker is where the magic first comes to life, let's keep the bunker looking neat and the NPC's looking sweet!" - Bunker Lead, Finn

Blood, Sweat and Cutter knives
Don’t get us wrong - Magic is very real - but so are hot glue guns and glitter. And someone has to piece it all together.
We like to think of our creative team as a circle of tinkering fae who devote themselves to decorating the castle right before our arrival, filling it with all their wondrous crafts. But in reality, it’s a hardcore job that demands many late-night hours and serious moderation by our Tinker Fae King, Neal (Crea Lead), and his right-hand Angela (Crea Co-Lead).
"I’m really looking forward to collaborating with the other teams and working together to achieve something remarkable. It’s truly inspiring to see how a simple idea can grow into something tangible and impactful when we all contribute our strengths." -Crea Lead, Neal
Lifting a story to new heights—or sparking intrigue in the classroom—comes down to the finer details, that very often are made by hand. And this year, team crea is working on something new and exciting that will really make the students feel at home at our school.
A round of applause for our long list of magickmakers: Storm, Sannah, Jinx, Tirza, Remco, Bo, Finn, Jelle, Naomi, and Sam. Without their creativity, none of this would come to life!

Putting magic into words
When the halls of Myrddin Emrys College grow quiet and we’re all scattered across distant lands, it’s team PR that keeps the community feeling close. Through posts, digitals owls and wordy incantations (like this blog!), we hold the threads of connection tight, weaving a little magic into the mundane.
This year, Beau takes the reins as PR Lead, with Kato as her new trusted PR Co-Lead—two witches who have mastered the art of framing the inframable. Together with Anouk, Kayleigh, and Sam, they ensure our world stays vibrant and connected, no matter the distance.
“I feel honoured to be working as Lead PR this year. We’ve got major plans, and I’m very excited to be able to strengthen our wonderful MEC community.” - PR Lead, Beau
And while our ticket sales are quicker than a wand duel, PR’s role doesn’t stop after all seats on the MEC bus are filled. We tell the story of our world, build anticipation, nostalgia, and that “can’t-wait-to-be-back” feeling that makes Myrddin Emrys more than just a place.

The Plot Thickens
Even Crimson was once a cute little brainstorm, sleeping in his crib. Every villain, every hero, every heart-wrenching moment of last summer’s LARP started as a spark of inspiration in the minds of Team Plot. And this year, we’ve got quite a bunch of sparking minds to work with!
Plot ideas come to life anywhere and everywhere—while cooking dinner, scrubbing cauldrons, or during a midnight epiphany that just can’t wait until morning.
Handling this nifty machine of storytellers is Volker, our seasoned Plot Lead, joined by Plot Co-Lead Sam. From the tiniest owl-delivered letter to the terrifying finale, every twist and turn of the LARP begins here—with Team Plot and their ever-turning gears of imagination.
“I'm super excited to make up yet another story that will draw our players in from the first minute and leave them longing for more after the event ends. I hope to be a welcoming member of team plot, open for questions and anything plot related.” - Plot Co-Lead, Sam
And of course, let’s not forget the rest of our writers: Noah, Cap, Lisa, Joanne, Anouk, Kato, Kaz, Timothy, and Neal. With this strong bunch, no hole is left unplotted.

The North stars of Myrddin Emrys College
Did you get the memo? There’s a whole bunch of witchards involved to make MEC work. Too many, maybe? Not when there’s a sturdy foundation and a guiding star to keep us all moving forward. That’s where our Orga heads come in: Zoë, our ever-diligent Vice; Shirley, our meticulous Secretary-Treasurer; and Jelle, our Head of orga.
This trio keeps our sprawling group of volunteers on track, tackling crucial legalities and logistics that none of us really want to deal with. Thanks to them, we get to roam the castle every year, and there’s always a bus waiting to take us to and fro. They may not be wielding wands year-round, but trust us—their phone call skills are sorcery.
"As vice chairman and project leader for The Myrddin Emrys College, I’m honored to be a part of its magical journey. Having experienced the wonders of our magical school from every perspective, I’m passionate about bringing that same sense of discovery and enchantment to life for others!" - Vice, Zoë
